Choosing Your Venetian Mask
If you are attending any kind of masked ball or fancy dress party the choice of facial wear is vital to your success.
Venetian masks are available in a huge variety of colors, designs and shapes but can also be bought plain ready to be decorated yourself. I am going to be looking at the types that are available and who would best suit which type.
One type of Venetian mask is that which covers the whole face and has a large, hooked nose and grotesque features. It is advisable to steer clear of these if you are not known for your looks in everyday life. You may as well go without a mask on! You have the opportunity to turn yourself into something very attractive for one night only so you should select a mask which is eye catching, vibrant and aesthetically pleasing. The choice of colors is essential – a man should avoid wearing colors such as pink or purple unless he is choosing to make a statement about his sexuality. A woman may find that red, white and metallic colors give them a glamorous look whereas a black, dark green or dark blue mask may give off an air of gloom or melancholy.
Animal masks are also widely available. Again, the choice of animal is vital if you wish to have a successful evening. Choosing a mask which represents a rat may not be the best to attract the opposite sex to you, whereas a strong, brave animal such as a lion or panther could have the opposite effect.
In short, the Venetian mask you choose is an extension of your outfit and is solely responsible for providing the image you will be displaying to everybody else. Choose wisely and have fun!
